Wild Wings Ski Touring Center generously donates the use of its trails for the Ski for Heat Ski-a-thon! That's right: you can ski all day — with no trail fees — on the beautifully groomed trails of this fantastic ski center. Glide along streams and brooks, through fields, amongst hardwood stands, or beneath pine boughs on the extensive one-way trail network of Wild Wings' 28 km of trails. The terrain is varied, and there are routes for skiers of all abilities. When you need a break or want to chat with your friends and neighbors, there's a centrally located warming hut (with woodstove), where you can enjoy a bowl of homemade soup, a cup of hot chocolate, or some bagels that were supplied by Bagel Works. Note: For those of you who love the outdoors and want to participate but don't cross-country ski, snowshoers are welcome at Wild Wings! |
